The Oakland Roots SC Manager, Stadium Operations and Special Events, is responsible for helping stakeholders plan and game day presentations, stadium operations, and key special events. This is a full-time position and reports directly to the COO.

Essential Functions

  • Determining the scheduling of different phases of a project based on established deadlines and resolving scheduling conflicts that arise due to scheduled events, pop-up events, emergencies and other issues that may cause delays.

  • Working in partnership with stakeholders to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule.

  • Negotiating with contractors and vendors, the securing of required permits, licenses and delivery of materials and equipment.

  • Developing a purchasing schedule and strategy to anticipate, address and resolve purchasing challenges.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders in set up of projects to insure profitability, client satisfaction and the best subcontractors for the job.

  • Collaborate interdepartmentally on Game Presentation, Run of Show, Partnership Fulfillment needs

  • Thorough completion of all financial data with an eye to identify potential/existing issues.

  • Manage project budget

  • Maintaining and developing relationships to reinforce a commitment to excellent customer service across the board: including co-workers, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and the design community. Communicate with field team members as well as keep them active in decision-making

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge Gantt Charts, Task Management Software is preferred

  • Ability to work with employees, customers and management on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proficiency in delivering exceptional service catered to our clients specific goals and vision

  • Strong analytical skills to solve problems that may come up during a typical workday in analyzing data and making decisions that affect the project on a regular basis

  • Ability to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling
