The Oakland Roots SC Manager, Corporate Partnerships responsible for providing services in business development and partnership marketing to grow commercial revenue focusing primarily on sponsorships and community marketing while supporting key partners.
Develop and secure business opportunities within the community for the Club.
Sell sponsorships to companies that drive revenue and create marketing partnerships.
Research and develop new business opportunities by identifying sales leads, develop strategic marketing plans and undertake presentations for potential clients.
Maintain and create strong external contacts and working relationships.
Support the Club executive staff, investor group and external partners on planning and presentations for large sponsorship opportunities.
Prepare detailed business plans to ensure the Club’s visions, goals and objectives are presented to prospective clients.
Organize, maintain, and fulfill corporate sponsorship agreements and their outlined contractual obligations.
Provide ongoing customer service for corporate partners through various means.
Participate in group sales efforts under the supervision of sales leadership.
Serve as a liaison to local community leaders and stakeholders.
Perform various game day duties related to sponsor agreements and obligations.
Represent Oakland Roots SC and its related affiliates in a professional manner at all times.
Ability to work nights, all events, weekends, events and holidays as required.
Game Day Responsibilities
Ensure proper setup and execution of pre-, post-, and in-game sponsor activations
Assist in stadium tours and sales appointments for new prospects.
Meet with, escort, greet clients as required or requested.
Strong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills.
Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.

Skills and Experience
Education: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year).
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience.
Proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, Outlook, Word, G Suite, and other business platforms.
Experience with advertising and/or sponsorship in sports/entertainment industry preferred.
